Judge Doug Suits has spent more than two decades serving the Quad Cities community as an attorney, mediator, and judge.
After graduating from California Western School of Law, he began his legal career as a Research Attorney for judges of the San Diego Superior Court. He later spent four years practicing civil litigation in San Diego.
In 2002, Judge Suits returned to Arizona and opened his law practice in Prescott. For the past 23 years, he has provided dispute-resolution and litigation services to individuals and businesses throughout the Quad Cities communities.
During that time, Judge Suits helped found the Mediation Center of Yavapai County (2007–2009) and served on the Board of the Yavapai County Bar Association, including one year as President (2008–2009).
In recognition of his professionalism and service to the legal community, he received the Harold J. Wolfinger Professionalism Award from the Yavapai County Bar Association in 2014. That same year, the State Bar’s Volunteer Lawyers Program named him Volunteer Attorney of the Year for Yavapai County.
In 2019, Judge Suits was appointed Presiding Magistrate for the Town of Dewey-Humboldt, a position he held until September 2025.
Later that year, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed him Prescott Justice of the Peace.
